5/1/02 The ASC 2001 Voyager awards are posted. Season 7.5 did very well! Suite 1 and 2 (Wrongs not Forgotten through Ragnarok) were #2 and 3. And Andra Marie's short, "A Reason for the Season" was #3 in the Holiday stories.

 

Note: Filler stories are usually of a parody nature, shorts are noncanon short stories, and interludes are short-in-our-canon stories. Complicated? Probably--but we find ourselves losing to Real Life too often.

Voyager receives a distress call from a Cardassian ship pulled into the Delta Quadrant by the Caretaker more than 30 years earlier. As Chakotay and other Maquis come to grips with their reaction to an encounter with their most hated enemy, Captain Janeway tries to decide on the best way to respond to a ship that could pose a danger, or could be a foreshadowing of Voyager's future.

Despite the odds against them, Voyager has survived six years of numerous hostile alien encounters and even shipwide takeovers. The Kazon, the Nyrians, the Hirogen, the Borg...But now, is their luck about to run out? They are about to face Commander Tuvok and his new security measures.

The opportunity to trade for some top quality dilithium is one that is too good to pass up. But Janeway and Torres find more than they bargained for when their first contact/trade mission to the planet Zornon goes awry.


 4. 6 August 2001  Chaos  by Sara, Christina, and Jackee

The Plor spacestation, Xor-Alpha, promises many distractions, but a small shuttle for sale is what tempts Voyager and her crew to stop at the spacestation: a visit that lands Voyager in the middle of an attack. Can Janeway and her intrepid away-team survive long to discover who the bad-guys really are and return safely to Voyager?

But now great forces have been set in motion, and life on board Voyager will never be the same again.
